The fifties was a welcome, peaceful reprieve from the sadness and chaos of the stock market crash and WWII. It was a time of family station wagons, party-lined rotary phones, a slow transition from radio shows to television, and an overall upswing in prosperity. It was all about coming home again, as is this 1950s home with modern updates.
